Here are 7 little known factoids regarding Chivas results against 'newcomers'.
- During their first season in the Top-flight Division, Toluca faced Chivas on Sunday, October 11th, 1953. The expectation caused by the game was so great that prior to the start, a fence fell while fans were trying to enter the stadium fortunately there were no casualties or injured fans. The match took a few more minutes than usual to start, as fans needed to be removed from the very same pitch. The match ended up in a 2-2 draw. The Rojiblanco goals scored by Juan Jasso and Raúl Arellano.
- On July 10th, 1955, Zamora made their official debut in Liga MX and did so against Guadalajara. El Rebaño Sagrado triumphed 4-1. An outstanding factoid is that a goal was scored from midfield by the Guadalajara defender José Villegas.

- Eduardo ‘Yayo’ de la Torre welcomed Cobras de Querétaro in the 1986-87 season with an early goal just 32 seconds after kick-off, this was the ninth fastest goal in league history for Chivas.
- While their stadium was closed, the first match played by Chivas against Toros Neza was held in Ciudad Universitaria on September 20th, 1993. Toros Neza won 1-0 nil.
