‘Chino’ Huerta returns to Chivas

Guadalajara has reincorporated César Huerta, who following a one-year loan with the Monarcas/Mazatlán franchise, returns home with more experience in Liga MX in search of helping Mexico’s most popular & beloved team to exceed what was done in Guard1anes 2020.

The 20-year-old attacker from Guadalajara played 6 games and obtained 1 assist with Morelia during Clausura 2020, while this season he played 17 games, scored 3 goals, and one 1 assist with Mazatlán FC. In addition, he was called up for the U-23 Mexican National Team's training camp.

It should be noted that El ‘Chino’ is a #CanteraRojiblanca homegrown player as he first spent 6 months on trial when he was 10 and later, in 2013, he joined the Chivas San Rafael School. Two years later, he joined the academy of El Rebaño Sagrado and finished the whole training process in Third Division, U-15, U-17, and U-20; with the Third Division team and U-20, he lifted the title while with the U-15, he conquered the International Tournament of such category. Moreover, he played the U-17 2017 World Cup in India with El Tri.

His First-Division debut with Chivas took place in the Apertura 2018, on matchweek 16 vs. León; furthermore, he was included in the roster for the 2018 UAE Club World Cup. In the Clausura 2019, he was loaned to Zacatepec to boost his professional development and with Los Cañeros, he registered 17 League and Cup appearances. During the 2H19, he returned to Guadalajara and switched between the U-20 and the First team.
