03/06/2022 15:43 / Salvador Pacheco

There’s no doubt that the announcements of Alan Mozo and Ruben Gonzalez as new players of Chivas made all of us really happy, right? But also, at the same time, we know that there is a question that is still popping up your minds constantly… Will there be more new players or not?

Well, regarding this and many other important news for El Rebaño Sagrado, Ricardo Peleez spoke this Friday at a press conference at the Akron Stadium and did it about that subject that has caused so much expectation.

So yes or no??? Guadalajara's sporting director left the door open for more additions in Ricardo Cadena’s squad for the Apertura 2022 season, so we must wait for him to continue with the task of strengthening the team for the next semester as much as possible.

"We are working on the possibilities that exist with other players, the door is open for any change, we have time, not only for the season’s opening day, we are looking for the best for Chivas," he said.

In addition to this topic, Pelaez made several announcements during the press conference:

1. Ricardo Cadena will officially continue as Chivas’ coach.
2. He informed about Mariano Varela's new position as the Youth Academy Director.
3. He said that new Youth Academy Coordinator will be appointed soon.
4. He let Mariano Varela announce Gerardo Espinoza as Tapatio’s new coach.
5. He officially welcomed Alan Mozo and Ruben González as new Chivas players.

All what was was said during the press conference:

Ricardo Pelaez: "I am pleased to officially welcome Fernando 'Oso' Gonzalez and Alan Mozo, we discussed with the coaching staff about having them here and analyzed the facts about their contribution to generate competition among the squad”.

Mariano Varela: "Tapatio has been a wonderful project during its 2 years, so we thought about a coach who has an incredible resume working in youth academies, so after the analysis we made, we decided that Gerardo Espinoza would be that coach".

Ricardo Cadena: "I am proud to represent the most important team in Mexican soccer and with the commitment to take it to the place it deserves".

Gerardo Espinoza: "I am grateful for the trust that you are giving me to lead this project, which seeks to empower young players so that they can be better prepared to reach the Liga MX and have a successful career”

Alan Mozo: "I am very committed to this team, it’s a very important goal to represent Chivas, from day 1 I’ve been focused on winning and contributing to the coach and my teammates and I am here to achieve important things".

Ruben Gonzalez: "The most important thing is the happiness of being back and contributing for the best for the team in order to achieve great things".
