This is what the new structure of Chivas' Institutional Soccer will be like

In order to enhance the development of all members of La Cantera Rojiblanca, the Institutional Soccer Department of Club Deportivo Guadalajara, headed by Mariano Varela, will be making some adjustments to its organization.

The main change is that Javier Mier, who has been working as Coordinator of Junior Teams within the Mexican Soccer Federation, will become assistant director, while Erich Hernández, who previously acted as Tapatío's Technical Secretary, will now be Sports Coordinator for the before mentioned team, including the U-20 and U-18 Rebaños.

Both Luis Manuel Díaz and Carlos Nápoles, who were already part of the organizational chart, will continue to lead their respective team categories.

- Mariano Varela / Director
- Javier Mier / Assistant Director (Implementation of the training and methodological model)
- Erich Hernández / Sports Coordinator (Tapatío and U-20 and U-18)
- Luis Manuel Díaz / Basic Forces Coordinator (Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Divisions)
- Carlos Nápoles / Children's Soccer Coordinator

Who is the new Assistant Director of Institutional Soccer of El Rebaño?

Javier Mier has an important track record in youth talent development positions.

At Querétaro:
- He was Director of the Gallos' Youth Academy for 3 and a half years.
- During that period, the U-20 and Second Division squads won the league title, while the U-17 team won the Dallas Cup.
- More than 10 players trained in the negriazul Youth Academy debuted in Liga Mx, including Luis Romo, Paolo Yrizar, Jaime Gómez, Jordi Cortizo and Marcel Ruiz.
- He later served as the Club's sporting director for a year and a half.

In the Mexican Soccer Federation:
- He was Coordinator of National Youth Division Teams for 3 years.
- During that period, the U-17 team was World Championship runner-up, while the U-23 team was Pre-Olympic Champion and Olympic Medalist.
