One of the most representative celebrations that strengthens the unity of the great Chivas family is the Día la Fraternidad Rojiblanca mass, an event that became popular during the Campeonísimo era and which this year took place for the first time at the Akron Stadium.
From very early in the morning, the families of the members of that glorious team, which marked the most triumphant era of our club, arrived at the Fortaleza Rojiblanca to participate in the mass officiated by father J. Guadalupe Dueñas.
Among the players from that multi-championship squad was Carlos 'Cuate' Calderón, who shared his sentiments on keeping this traditional Eucharistic celebration organized by the club alive.
"Unfortunately, many of my teammates have already passed away, but the memory of everything we achieved and everything we experienced remains with us. Now the children and grandchildren of us all will be in charge of maintaining this fraternal tradition ," said the historic player.
After mass, there was a "cascarita" (game) among all the attendees, who had the opportunity to play on the field of the Fortaleza Rojiblanca, thus concluding this red-and-white get-together.
