El Guadalajara could not finish the year as they wanted to, two defensive lapses took their toll, which added to a lack of decisiveness, led them to fall to Cruz Azul 2-0 this Friday night at the Estadio Akron, in the Sky Cup Final for Mexico. Despite the result, El Rebaño Sagrado left many more positive sensations during this preparation period that has come to an end, in 8 days they will kick off their participation in the Clausura 2023 when they visit Monterrey in Day 1 of Liga MX.
Goals:
- At 65' Alexis Gutiérrez cut back towards the center of the field, got past Checo Flores and, upon entering the box, shot low and cross to send the ball into the net.
- At 85', Gonzalo Carneiro took advantage of a defensive rebound that was left alive on the edge of the area and hit a first-time shot to put definitive numbers on the scoreboard.
