On a day like today but 6 years ago, Chivas lived one of its most special moments in recent times. They played their first final at the Akron Stadium, where they defeated Monarcas Morelia and won the 2017 Clausura MX Cup.

That Wednesday night, the Rebaño's home was a hotbed of passion, as Guadalajara and Morelia faced each other in a very intense duel, and in which, despite generating a number of dangerous chances, both teams failed to score.

As in every story, that night had a hero. The hero was Miguel Jiménez, who grew stronger despite the pressure and ended being a key player for Chivas to win the Copa MX.

In addition, that night the Chiverío broke a curse, they put an end to a period of defeats in penalties in the final stages. The last time they had done so was in the 1959-1960 season against Necaxa.

Six years after that championship, we have our illusions intact to repeat something similar. Therefore, the support of the entire Chiva Nation will continue to be vital to drive the team in this quest.
