A good week for La Cantera Rojiblanca

24/04/2023 11:00 / Javier Quezada

Most of the #CanteraRojiblanca teams have clinched their ticket to the Liguilla or are about to do so, so their matches this week represented a perfect opportunity to polish details of their collective performance and gain confidence ahead of the so-called Fiesta Grande, proof of which is the record of 2 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss recorded.

TAPATÍO
El Rebaño's affiliate in the Liga de Expansión MX suffered a setback in its last match against Mineros by 1-2, but had already guaranteed to finish as overall sub-leader of the competition with 31 points. Now, they will have to wait for their opponent in the Quarterfinals, which will come out of the Reclassification phase to be played this week in the silver circuit.

CHIVAS U20
The red-and-whites were unharmed against their similar team Cruz Azul, remaining in second place in the standings with 32 points. A draw against Mazatlán on the last day of the calendar guarantees that they will finish in that position.

CHIVAS U18
The team coached by Luis Peña rescued a 1-1 draw in the final stretch of the match against Cruz Azul, although they lost in the penalty shootout, thus reaching 29 points and remaining alive in ninth place in the table, but they must win against Mazatlán FC on the last matchday and must hope that Gallos, Atlas or América do not win their respective matches in order to qualify.

CHIVAS U18 WOMEN'S TEAM
Las 'Cracksitas' drew 1-1 with Tigres, but lost in a penalty shootout and, after 16 matches, have 37 points to place second in Group 2. The red-and-white team, which has already secured its place in the Playoffs, has a rest next matchday and will return to action in J18, when it will host Mazatlán FC.

CHIVAS U16
Guadalajara defeated Tigres 2-0 thanks to goals from Iván Martínez and Daniel González, a result that kept them in fourth place in Group 2 with 22 points, the same as Monterrey and one less than Mazatlán FC.

CHIVAS U14
El Rebaño knew how to work the game and despite being behind on two occasions, managed to beat Tigres 3-2 thanks to goals from Carlos Bernal, Gael García and Deibith Armenta. With this result, Chivas remained in fourth place in their group with 21 points.
