The Mexican U-23 National Under-23 Team qualified for the Grand Final of the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023, after defeating Honduras 3-0 in the Semifinal where two of the four Chivas youth players played an active role in helping El Tri secure a medal in the competition.
The Aztec team, which will seek to win the gold medal on Thursday, awaits the result of the other series between El Salvador and Costa Rica to know its opponent.
How did the youngsters from the Cantera Rojiblanca do?
- Goalkeeper Eduardo García was a starter and played the entire match. He had few interventions thanks to the orderly Mexican defense, which did not allow any dangerous chances to reach the 'Dragón' goal.
- Zahid Muñoz started the match and played 55 minutes of good soccer. The midfielder gave good ball circulation and showed solidarity in his efforts to put pressure on the rival.
