Torreón, Coahuila - Guadalajara took a long time to get going tonight at the TSM and it cost them a 2-1 defeat against Santos Laguna on Saturday, on Matchday 6 of the Apertura 2023.

The Guadalajaran side struggled to deal with the pressure exerted by the Guerreros and were unable to deal with the danger of Duván Vergara, who scored the first goal for the locals and then scored the second. El Rebaño reacted and reduced the deficit with a penalty scored by "Piojo" Alvarado, but the push was not enough and they ended up a man down due to the expulsion of Alexis Vega for a double yellow card.

The goals
- At 55', Duván Vergara drove the ball through the center of the field and played to Harold Preciado on the right, who took a cross shot, "Wacho" blocked the shot, but the ball was left to Juan Brunetta who simply sent it into the net.

- At 71', Duván Vergara stole the ball after a poor start by El Rebaño and, on the edge of the box, shot from the right to place it out of the reach of Miguel Jiménez.

- At 83', Roberto Alvarado scored for El Rebaño by winning a penalty kick, following a foul by goalkeeper Lajud on Daniel Ríos.

Dangerous moments:
- 7' Alexis Vega took a direct free kick with a good right-footed shot and his delivery required Gibran Lajud to lie down to his right to deny the ball.

- 8' Excellent cross by Alejandro Mayorga to prevent a goal for the Laguneros when Brunetta's touch in the box had beaten goalkeeper Miguel Jiménez.

- 11' The referee red carded Gilberto Orozco Chiquete for contact on Brunetta at the halfway line, when his assistant Jair Sosa had already signaled offside for the Argentine attacker, so the card was waived.

- 36' Duván Vergara drove down the left flank and shot right-footed towards the far post, but the ball went wide.

- 37' HUGEEEEE "Wacho" Jiménez deflected the ball spectacularly to the left after a right-footed shot by Alan Cervantes.

- 39' And Jiménez again! The red-and-white goalkeeper came up with his second save in a row to deflect a diving header from Torres.

- 45' +5 "Wacho" again saved his goal by deflecting the ball with both hands after Brunetta.

- 49' Cervantes' cross shot and, as in the first half, Miguel Jiménez was well placed to keep the ball out.

- 62' In a remarkable effort, Alan Mozo recovered the ball on the right flank and immediately put in a cross into the box, where Alexis Vega connected with his head and Lajud managed to deflect the ball with difficulty.
