Chivas comes away with a point from Toluca's inferno

Toluca, State of Mexico - Chivas showed the character to recover from a second-half goal to earn a point against the Diablos Rojos del Toluca in a 1-1 draw at the end of Matchday 10 of the 2023 Liga MX Apertura MX Tournament.

The team coached by Veljko Paunovic offered a good display in the first half, with Roberto 'Piojo' Alvarado as the team's driver and an outstanding Raúl Rangel, who made his debut in the Mexican championship as Guadalajara's goalkeeper. 67' "Pollo" Briseño gave a warning when he connected at the far post with his head after Alvarado's free kick, but the ball went just wide.

77' Cristian Calderón took a rebound in the center of the field, measured the distance and took the "Chicotazo", but the ball went over the goal.

84' Marcel Ruiz sent the ball inches wide of the post after connecting with a diagonal shot from the right flank.
