This Wednesday, Akron Stadium will witness another title series, as Chivas U-23s will host Tigres in the first leg of the Grand Final of the 2023 Opening Tournament, and you won't believe the impressive streak that Guadalajara's youth teams have put together at the Fortaleza Rojiblanca.
This Wednesday's clash between Guadalajara and UANL will mark the 21st Final played at the Akron, strictly speaking in the youth categories. Within this record there are 5 U-20, 9 U-17, 3 U-16, 1 U-15, 1 U-14 and 1 Expansion League.
Of these 22 finals, Chivas have won 18. The Red and White team has a tremendous effectiveness in these instances, so we hope that this Saturday, Chivas U23 can be crowned and extend this incredible record even further.
