On a day like today, in 1980, the top scorer in the club's history was born: Omar Bravo Tordecillas. On the occasion of his birthday and the fact that March brings us three editions of El Clásico de México, between Liga MX and the Concacaf Champions Cup, we present all the goals scored by the player from Sinaloa against the Águilas.
Omar Bravo's goals in El Clásico de México:
Day 10 / Apertura 2015
- Chivas won this match 1-2 thanks to a spectacular brace by Bravo, who scored the first with a left-footed shot in front of the goalkeeper and then sealed the match with a tremendous header that left the center-back who was following him closely with no chance.
Matchday 9 / Apertura 2004
- That day, El Clasico de Mexico ended in a 1-1 draw and the Sinaloa native took advantage of the situation to score with an early header. The play that led to the goal was marvelous, as Adolfo Bautista and Ramón Morales combined on the left to set up the Rebaño's 9.
Day 14 / Apertura 2007
- Bravo's goal that day was of very high quality, as he broke free at the near post to take advantage of a powerful cross, which he sent into the back of the net with an aggressive header.
Day 17 / Apertura 2003
- The Rebaño won the three points away from home by beating the Águilas 1-2 and one of the Red and White goals was scored by Omar Bravo, who entered the area on the left flank and scored with a superb lob in front of the Azulcrema goalkeeper.
First Leg Semifinal / Apertura 2006
- The team coached by José Manuel de la Torre received América at the Jalisco during the first match of the Semifinals. The Rebaño came out of that series stronger than before against the Águilas and were on their way to achieving their 11th star against Toluca. On that day, Chivas won 2-0 and one of the goals was scored by a player from Sinaloa, who anticipated the visiting defender and headed the ball home.
