With 2 games to go before the end of the Regular Season, Guadalajara has picked up the pace at the best possible moment and much is due to the good individual level achieved by several of its players. One of them is Gilberto Sepúlveda, who returned to the starting lineup a few days ago and for this reason, we present an analysis of his performance.

On Tuesday, January 30, 'Tiba' suffered an injury that kept him away from the field for several weeks. During the match against Toluca, corresponding to Day 4 of the current tournament, and after a strong collision with Mateo Chávez, the Rebaño's central defender suffered a fracture in his face, which is why he has been wearing a protective mask during training and the most recent matches.

The return of the defender from Sinaloa has been very good for the Rebaño's defensive unit, as he has played as many minutes as possible (360) since he was medically cleared. With his presence, he has contributed to Chivas' defensive solidity and the improvement of the starting line, since even if he is not the way to make them, his receptions and agility help to find free teammates in Guadalajara's next line.

Another highlight of Sepúlveda is his good actions in the open field and defense of the area, as he has blocked several shots to prevent damage to the red and white goal, which has hung 0 in his goal in 3 of the last 4 matches.

Tiba's numbers so far in the Clausura 2024:
- 8 games played
- 669 minutes played
- 35 balls recovered
- 13 balls won in own area
- 3 defensive duels won
- 20 rejections
- 154 successful passes
- 13 balls won in the air
