Guadalajara's destiny has been decided, ChivaHermanos: in order to reach 13, they will have to play one more edition of the Clasico de Mexico in the Liguilla. That's right, the Rebaño Sagrado will face América in the Semifinals of the Clausura 2024 in search of a ticket to the tournament's Grand Final.
As the fourth-placed team, Chivas will open the match against the Águilas at the Akron Stadium, while the series will be defined in the Red-and-White capital, with the Azteca Stadium as the venue.
It should be remembered that this semester, both teams have already met on 3 occasions between Liga MX and Concacaf Champions Cup with a very even balance, as each team won on one occasion and tied in the remaining match. Therefore, we will have the fourth and fifth editions of the Clasico de Mexico in the first half of 2024.
Red-and-White note
Chivas and América recently faced each other in the Semifinals, as the CL23 played them in the same order in which they will face each other next week. The first leg at the Rojiblanca Fortress went to the Blue and Yellows by the minimum score, but in the second leg, the country's Most Popular and Beloved Team won 3-1 at the Azteca Stadium to reach the Grand Final of that competition.
