26/07/2024 15:07 / Enrique Noriega

Throughout his extensive career as a professional soccer player, Isaac Brizuela has been characterized by his quality, commitment and total dedication to the colors of Guadalajara. There is not a day in which the 'Cone' is not exemplary in his daily work, which is why he has become a reference for the younger players in the red and white squad.

July 26th is very special for him, because on a day like today but 15 years ago, he made his debut in the First Division of Mexican soccer. As if by fate, the attacker, who came out of Toluca's youth academy, played his first minutes against Chivas, on Day 1 of the 2009 Apertura. On that occasion, Brizuela was a starter and played 68 minutes.

Thus began a brilliant career for the Red-and-White striker, who to date has two league titles, one CONCACAF Champions Cup, two MX Cups and one MX Super Cup. In addition, the 'Cone' has an interesting history with the National Team, as he won a gold medal in the 2011 Pan American Games, participated in the 2013 Gold Cup and was later called up to the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

In 15 years of career, Brizuela has played 448 games in Liga MX, of which 280 have been with the Rebaño Sagrado jersey. He has scored 36 goals in Liga MX, 3 more in Copa MX and 4 in Concachampions.

At 33 years of age, Isaac Brizuela continues under the orders of Fernando Gago and is ready to contribute his dribbling and agility in Guadalajara's flanks when required, so he will be looking to make his legacy even greater in the Leagues Cup that is about to begin.
