Chivas showed reaction and footballing fortitude in the face of the adversity of being down by 3 goals, but their reaction fell short and they lost 2-3 in the Clásico Tapatío this Saturday night at the Akron Stadium, in the 11th match of the Apertura 2024.
Despite having a heavy burden at the start of the second half, Guadalajara never gave up the attack and found two goals that boosted the team and magnified the screams of the Fortaleza Rojiblanca. It was more than 100 minutes of play in which the Chiverío gave their all to find the equalizer, but there was not enough time to do so.
The Rebaño Sagrado will not have any Liga MX activity next week due to the FIFA Day break, in which they will play the Mexican Classic in Houston on Sunday, October 13. The next match of the Red and White team in the AP24 will be against Pachuca, on Saturday, October 19 at 5 PM at the Hidalgo Stadium.

- The visitors took the lead at 40', in a play in which there was a clear foul on 'Tiba' Sepúlveda and which ended in a cross inside the area that was pushed in by Jhon Murillo.

-At 17', 'Pocho' Guzmán appeared alone at the far post to take a corner kick from the left, but his shot ended up in the goalkeeper's hands.
-He smashed it against the post! At minute 35, Alan Mozo collected a rebound inside the black-and-red area and crossed to the far post with his left foot, where 'Guti' headed the ball into the net, although the play was disallowed for offside.
-At 38', Mozo raised his hand again, with a shot that looked for the angle, but was deflected by Vargas with two hands.
At 56', Yael had a chance after being one-on-one with Camilo, but the ball bounced back to the Red and White player and did not favor him for the goal.
