26/10/2024 00:06 / Omar González

Puebla, Puebla - Chivas could not end the week in a perfect way, as despite fighting until the last minute, they ended up losing by the minimum difference against Puebla this Friday night at the Cuauhtémoc Stadium, in a match corresponding to the 14th matchday of the Apertura 2024 Tournament.

The Rebaño presented a starting eleven that promised speed and imbalance with the intention of getting a good result against La Franja, but lacked the necessary clarity to convert their approaches into goals and in the second half the local team took advantage of their only clear play to score the goal that made the difference on the scoreboard. On the next date, Chivas will host Pumas at the Akron Stadium, with the requirement to win to remain in the fight for direct Liguilla.

The goal:

- At 62' Emiliano Gómez controlled the ball with his chest on a cross-field pass to enter the box, make a cutback and shoot left-footed to beat "Tala" Rangel.

11' THE COWBOY! Cade Cowell entered the box on the left side to shoot at the near post, but "Wacho" Jiménez managed to keep the ball out.
