For Guadalajara, the development of young talent is of utmost importance as an institutional project. This conviction continues to bear fruit, as Chivas is the team that contributes the most players to the U-18 National Team's tour of Spain.
On this occasion, coach Alex Diego has selected five players from the Rojiblanca youth academy: Cristo Navarrete, Yohan Orozco, Carlos Hernández, Samir Inda, and Santiago Sandoval. All of them have played for various Mexican national teams, and despite their age, they compete in the Under-21 category, and even with Tapatío and the Rebaño Sagrado first team, as in the cases of Samir and 'Santi'.
The Tricolor Under-18 tour includes four warm-up matches, starting on Wednesday, September 3, and ending on Monday, September 8, in which they will face teams from the Basque Country. The young Rojiblancos will report to the CAR after their respective Matchday 7 games against Cruz Azul.
