In the heart of Estadio AKRON, a dream is born that today becomes reality. The JOVEM Museum (Jorge Vergara Museum) opens its doors as a tribute to the legacy of a man who transformed the way we see soccer, art, and life: Jorge Vergara Madrigal (RIP).
With his innovative vision and characteristic leadership, Don Jorge promoted artistic creation in Mexico from countless angles and supported disciplines such as music, film, painting, graphic arts, and photography. He also awarded scholarships to young people to study art abroad.
JOVEM is a space conceived from Jorge Vergara's perspective, which seeks to keep his vision and creativity alive. And what better way to honor his legacy than with a place that provides opportunities for development to all types of artists through art and technology. As he used to say, transformation happens "day in and day out."
This is not a traditional museum: it is a meeting point for those who want to discover, imagine, and create new ways of seeing the world. Here, exhibitions do not close; they open questions and encourage dialogue. Visitors do not just observe: they inhabit the space.
Memoria Viva: the first light that guides us
The inaugural exhibition, Memoria Viva, invites visitors to explore light as a symbol of change and inspiration. Through light installations, interactive pieces, and sensory experiences, each visitor can see themselves as a prism capable of reflecting their own light and transforming from within.
From Constancia, a permanent work that welcomes everyone in the museum lobby, to immersive installations such as Pulso Circular, Bosque de Prismas, and Sueños, the tour offers an emotional journey that celebrates the creativity, innovation, and ability to dream that distinguished Jorge Vergara.
A living museum, made for people
JOVEM has spaces that convey energy and emotion: an immersive room, the main hall, a tunnel, a garden, and even a viewpoint that opens onto the Bosque de la Primavera. Each was designed so that visitors can experience the space and reflect on their dreams.
In addition, JOVEM will have a café called Birote, with a menu designed by the popular Pa'l Real café, and will offer workspaces, workshops, guided tours, and film series.
