On Wednesday morning, Chivas' Under-21 team played the first leg of the AP25 quarterfinals, where they drew 1-1 against Tigres on field 2 at Verde Valle. With this result, the tie remains open and the Rojiblancos' future will be decided in the second leg, which will be played in Monterrey.
The Rojiblancos struck first in the match with a spectacular scissor kick goal by Ariel Castro in the 48th minute after a cross from the right. Chivas sought to extend their lead during the second half, but an unfortunate play in the final minutes allowed the visitors to tie the game.
Guadalajara will have to quickly focus on the second leg, as they must win by any score to advance to the semifinals. The second leg will be played on November 22 at the Zuazua facilities at 9:00 AM.
