'Tala', 'Piojo' and 'Hormiga', the Rojiblanco stamp on the Mexican national team.

The November FIFA international break came to an end, and with it the two warm-up matches for the Mexican national team, which will be one of the hosts of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The good news is that national team coach Javier Aguirre found certainty in the Rojiblancos he considered for his squad.

The most notable case is that of Raúl Rangel, who continues to confirm his excellent individual form with every performance. During the match against Marcelo Bielsa's always respectable Uruguay, he put in an outstanding performance in goal for the Tricolor. The Rebaño Sagrado goalkeeper took another firm step in the race for the Mexican goal by keeping a clean sheet against a formidable offensive opponent, making two key saves, recovering six balls, and contributing 33 passes that helped the Aztec team move forward from the back of the field.

Another player who reaffirmed that he is reaching his best form is Roberto Alvarado, who has recovered from the ankle injury he suffered a few weeks ago and proved it in the matches against Uruguay and Paraguay. El 'Piojo' has been a fixture in the green team's lineups, as the virtual owner of the right wing due to his ability to create danger on the flank. In both matches, Alvarado was involved in creating attacking opportunities through passes between the lines, crosses from the wing, and shots on goal.

Finally, the brand-new top scorer of the 2025 Apertura made his debut with the Mexican national team. After scoring 12 goals in the regular season, Armando González wore the Tri jersey for the first time when he came on as a substitute in the match against Paraguay. In the minutes he played, 'Hormiga' showed mobility and sought to make his mark on the national attack with his characteristic scoring instinct.

The three Rojiblancos on the national team will now focus on their current situation with Guadalajara, which will face Cruz Azul in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Apertura next week, boosted by the morale boost of being considered to wear the colors of the Mexican national team.
