With excitement running high over the return of Liga MX action, Guadalajara wrapped up its preparations to take on Pachuca in the Matchday 1 fixture of the Clausura 2026. The Rebaño Sagrado is well aware of the importance of this matchup, as getting off to a strong start is key—especially considering it will be the first of three matches to be played over the next eight days.
Following Friday afternoon’s training session, Gabriel Milito named a 21-man squad with which he will look to showcase the team’s best footballing version and secure the first three points of the semester.
What’s new?
• New signings Brian Gutiérrez, Ángel Sepúlveda, and Ricardo Marín have been included for this match and could make their official debuts with the Rebaño.
• Ángel Chávez, a central defender from Tapatío who completed preseason with the First Team, appears on the list of players eligible to face the Tuzos.
• Diego Campillo and Rubén González remain in the final stage of their rehabilitation processes and are close to returning, but were not included for this match.
• Gilberto Sepúlveda suffered a sprain to his left ankle during the friendly against Leones Negros, meaning his return to competition will depend on his recovery progress.
