This Was the Weekend for Chivas’ Youth Teams

An intense weekend came to an end for Chivas’ different categories, who competed with character in Matchday 6 of the Clausura 2026. In addition, the squads that played in El Clásico de México remained unbeaten, reflecting the competitive identity that defines La Cantera Rojiblanca. Here’s the full recap of all the Rebaño’s youth teams in action.

Sub 19 (Men’s)

El Clásico de México was painted Rojiblanco! Guadalajara earned a 2-1 home victory after a match in which they dictated play from start to finish. The Rebaño opened the scoring late in the game with a golazo by Aldrin Mariaca in the 78th minute, and Erick Aguilar doubled the lead in the 87th. Alejandro Cárdenas pulled one back for the visitors in the 90th, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Rojiblanco win. With this result, Chivas move up to eighth place in the standings with 11 points.

Sub 19 (Women’s)

The Rojiblancas made the most of their home field and defeated Atlético de San Luis 2-0. Fátima Lino opened the scoring in the 55th minute, and Farah Talamás sealed the result in the 80th to secure all three points. With this victory, the Rojiblancas temporarily sit in third place in Group 2 with 11 points.

Sub 21

In a highly demanding match, Chivas’ youngsters drew 1-1 against América at Cancha Gigantera, despite playing with a man down since the first half. Carlo Soldati put the Rebaño ahead in the 71st minute with a powerful strike, but the visitors equalized in the 84th through Andrés Araujo. In the penalty shootout for the extra point, Las Águilas claimed the additional unit. With this result, the Rebaño sit ninth overall with 11 points.

Sub 17

The Sub 17 side fell 1-2 to Atlético de San Luis in a match contested until the final minute. The team showed intensity and collective commitment throughout, fighting for every ball and staying in the battle until the end. The Rebaño’s goal was scored by Luis Villaseñor in the 90th minute. Despite the result, El Chiverío remain leaders of Group 2 and the overall standings with 11 points.

Sub 15

The Rojiblancos also stumbled 1-3 against the team from San Luis in a match the Guadalajara side pushed for until the very end. The team never stopped pressing despite the adverse scoreline, finding a late reward in the 90th minute through René Godínez. Beyond the result, Chivas hold on to third place in their group with 10 points.
