U-19

The Clásico was Rojiblanco! Chivas U-19 showed character and defeated their fierce city rival 1-2 in a match they dominated from start to finish. Benny Ferreyra’s squad reached 14 points in the standings and moved closer to Liguilla positions.

The Rebaño struck first, with a goal from Gael García in the 30th minute that reflected their superiority before halftime.

Early in the second half, the home side equalized shortly after play resumed, but Leonardo Ramírez quickly restored the lead and sealed the final score almost immediately.

U-21

The Rojiblanco side fell 2-1 in a highly controversial match, in which they received a red card for an incident when the ball was not in play and conceded a goal that was clearly offside. Luis Arce’s team remained with 15 points in the overall standings.

It was the young Rebaño that carried the weight of the match, taking the lead as early as the 8th minute with a double header inside the box that Diego Rosales finished. The team maintained its attacking approach and took advantage of the numerical superiority after a Rojinegro player was sent off, although they could not extend their lead due to the opposing goalkeeper’s performance.

Everything changed in the 70th minute when the referee showed a red card to a Chivas player while waiting for a free kick to be taken, despite there being no punishable action. In the immediate play that followed, the Nextipac side equalized the match. Near the end of the game, a counterattack from the hosts—clearly offside—resulted in their second goal.
