The Sub 14 team of Guadalajara advanced to the Round of 16 of the Primavera 2026 Tournament, which is being held at the facilities of the Mexican Football Federation in Toluca, Estado de México.
This youth tournament brings together the 18 clubs from the First Division, 3 from Expansión MX, and 3 from the Tercera División Premier. It represents the first steps for players from the 2012 and 2013 generations in this type of format, allowing them to experience a concentration environment and dynamics similar to high-performance competition, strengthening their overall development on the path toward achieving the dream of debuting with Guadalajara.
How did they perform in the Group Stage?
The Rebaño, placed in Group 4, drew 0-0 in their opening match against Pachuca. Afterwards, the Rojiblancos fell to Santos 1-3, and in their final match, secured a key 2-0 victory over Atlético La Paz, with goals from Lucas López and Jacob Ayub, a result that kept them alive in the tournament.
Who will be their next opponent?
Chivas Sub 14 will now focus on their preparation for the Round of 16, where they will face Querétaro in a single-elimination match, aiming to impose their conditions and advance to the next round.
