It’s no surprise that the Rojiblanca Academy continues to be one of the best in Mexico. Year after year, Chivas’ youth system delivers results, producing high-quality talent shaped under Guadalajara’s philosophy.
The Clausura 2026 has been no exception, as all of the club’s professional youth teams secured their spots in the Liguilla. However, two categories stand out for their dominance: the Sub 17 and Sub 15 squads are marching confidently toward the playoffs.
It’s worth noting that in these divisions the format differs, with two groups of nine teams playing 18 matchdays, including two bye weeks. Even so, Guadalajara’s dominance is undeniable—both teams sit atop Group 2 with authority, with just one match remaining in the regular season, and are strong contenders to win their respective titles.
SUB 17
Led by Alberto Ascensio, the team not only tops its group but is also the overall leader of the competition with 38 points, well ahead of the nearest challenger. The rojiblancos have won 12 of their 15 matches and, prior to Matchday 17, were on a nine-game unbeaten streak.
With the second-best attack in the league (37 goals scored), the team now awaits its Quarterfinal opponent, which will be determined among Pachuca, América, Puebla, or even FC Juárez. They will also have the advantage of hosting the second leg in each playoff series.
SUB 15
The squad coached by Alexis Coyote is also performing strongly. While they can no longer claim the overall top spot, they still have a chance to finish as Group 2 leaders with a win over Mazatlán this Saturday. So far, they have 31 points and have earned points in 7 of their last 8 matches.
Chivas Sub 15 were runners-up in AP25 and are now aiming to repeat that success with the quality they’ve shown across all lines. Their offensive strength stands out—they are the second-best attacking team in the division, just one goal behind leaders Toluca. Their playoff opponent will be decided this weekend, with Necaxa or Pachuca as the only possibilities.
