Rafael Márquez and the Mexico National Team visited Chivas

The way Gabriel Milito’s Chivas have been playing continues to attract attention throughout national football, which is why new Mexico head coach Rafael Márquez, along with a delegation from the national team, visited Verde Valle on Wednesday.

The Club Guadalajara board, led by Alejandro Manzo and Javier Mier, welcomed the Mexico delegation, which included ‘Rafa,’ Duilio Davino, Andrés Lillini and members of the coaching staff. They had a chance to chat before El Rebaño Sagrado’s morning training session.

Before training got underway, Gabriel Milito went over to greet the Mexico head coach, and the two took the opportunity to reminisce about some of their memories from their time together at Barcelona in Spain.

After training, Milito and Márquez exchanged Chivas and Mexico jerseys, while the Guadalajara board also presented each member of the Mexico delegation with a Chivas jersey, in a gesture that reflected the unbreakable bond between two of the teams that best represent Mexican soccer.

Rafa Márquez’s visit to El Rebaño Sagrado’s training ground comes as he begins his tenure as Mexico head coach following the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Chivas was the backbone of the Mexico National Team, providing Raúl Rangel, Luis Romo, Brian Gutiérrez, Roberto Alvarado and Armando González.
