Mexico’s U-17 National Team made its debut at the Vertex Cup, an international tournament taking place in London, United Kingdom. In their opening match, the national team faced Argentina and drew 2-2 after 90 minutes. The result sent the match to a penalty shootout, where Argentina prevailed 4-3.
Our three Rojiblancos with the national team started the match. André Godínez, who wore the captain’s armband, Gerson Gutiérrez, and Uziel Vargas all turned in strong performances for the national team.
El Tri’s next challenge will come against China on Sunday, October 7, at 7:00 AM (CT).
