This weekend brought several standout moments for the Cantera Rojiblanca across its different age groups. Our young players delivered strong performances and showed great resilience, recording four wins, one draw and just one defeat.
Here are all the details from the matches played by our young players.
U-19 (Men's)
El Rebaño produced a spectacular comeback and 4-1 rout of Juárez in their rescheduled Matchday 2 fixture.
Although the border-based side took the lead in the first half, the team coached by Alberto Ascencio responded after the break with a goal from Joseph González, who leveled the score in the 46th minute and opened the floodgates for the Rojiblanco onslaught.
The comeback continued with Luis Villaseñor's brace in the 51st and 85th minutes, along with a goal from Aldrin Mariaca in the 79th minute. With this response, Guadalajara put the match beyond doubt and claimed all three points.
The result moved Chivas to 21 points and into fourth place in the overall standings.
Chivas TDP
On Matchday 2 of the Liga TDP, the Rojiblancos hosted Gallos Viejos at Gigantera and came away with a 3-2 victory.
El Rebaño conceded the opening goal in just the fifth minute, but responded immediately. In the sixth minute, Domenico Giacopello stepped up to level the score.
At the start of the second half, the visitors regained the lead. However, Guadalajara responded in the final stages. Raydel Montaño scored in the 75th minute, and Enith Vázquez found the net in the 84th to complete the comeback and seal the victory.
With this result, Chivas reached six points and remain within striking distance of the top spot in Group 15.
U-17 (Men's)
Another great result for the Cantera Rojiblanca! The U-17 squad traveled to face Rayados on Matchday 12 and claimed all three points with a 3-1 victory.
After a closely contested first half, the team coached by Cristian Flores turned the second half into an authentic Rojiblanco celebration. César Quintana opened the scoring in the 53rd minute. Three minutes later, Erick Galíndez doubled the lead, and Osbaldo Ybarra added another in the 61st minute to put the game out of reach. Although the home side pulled one back in the 89th minute, the response came too late, and Guadalajara secured the victory.
With this result, the Rojiblancos reached 13 points and climbed to seventh place in Group 2.
U-21 (Men's)
Another victory for Chivas! The U-21 squad played its rescheduled Matchday 2 fixture against the Bravos and secured a 1-0 victory.
The match began at a high intensity in both penalty areas. The Rojiblanco defense stood firm and prevented the home side from creating danger in Guadalajara's goal. As the minutes went by, the team coached by Luis Arce pushed higher up the pitch and took control of the match. The reward came in the 18th minute, when Brandon Brocksom found the net to score the only goal of the game.
With these three points, Guadalajara reached 18 points and moved into fourth place in the overall standings.
U-15 (Men's)
Our young players traveled to face Rayados on Matchday 12 and earned a 1-1 draw in Monterrey.
After a tightly contested match, things became more difficult for the Tapatíos when the home side scored in the 72nd minute. However, with the match entering its final stages, Santiago López appeared to level the score and send the game to a shootout for the extra point. In the penalty shootout, the Rojiblancos claimed the additional point.
With these two points, the team coached by Carlos Tremblay reached 18 points and remain third in Group 2.
U-19 (Women's)
In the Rosa division, the Rojiblancas traveled to face Rayadas on Matchday 12 and ultimately suffered a 2-1 defeat.
Guadalajara started the match with great intensity and high pressing. The reward came as early as the seventh minute, when Farah Talamás found the net to put the Rojiblancas ahead. However, the home side responded and turned the match around with goals in the 37th and 80th minutes. The Rojiblancas pushed for an equalizer during the final minutes, but the second goal never came.
With this result, the team coached by Cecilia Cabrera remains in third place in Group B with 19 points.
